Advance notice of significant roadworks on Colney Lane from 25 November to 24 January below:
“RE: ESSENTIAL GAS & COLLABORATIVE BT WORKS 25/11/19 to 24/01/20 (Xmas break between 20/12/19 – 06/01/20)
Dear Sir/Madam
We are writing to inform you of essential Gas works on Colney Lane during the above dates. The works will be located along a 650m section of Colney Lane from the BDW development to the University Hospital Roundabout.
Although we will attempt to keep the noise and duration of works to a minimum, as a matter of courtesy we would like to make you aware of the potential inconvenience. If at any time you experience any issues with our works, i.e access / egress to your property/business, please speak to the operatives on site who have been briefed to help you in any way they can.
During this period of time, there will be plant and machinery operating which can generate noise and potential vibrations across ground. With this in mind, but also for the safety of pedestrians, we kindly ask that vehicles are not parked on the roadside adjacent to the footpath or on the opposite side of the road.
We intend to complete with 2 way lights. TM to be manually controlled to maintain traffic flows as best as possible and any emergency vehicle movements.
Note we intend to work a Monday to Friday with all Traffic management lifted over the weekends.
There will be no interruption to your supply during these works.”
