Broadland District Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk Council are working together with Norfolk County Council to prepare the Greater Norwich Local Plan (GNLP). This plans for the housing and jobs needs of the area to 2036, including allocating individual sites for development.
On the current version all proposed areas in Cringleford have been rejected apart from the Newfound Farm site on Colney Lane. It has been proposed that an area to the edge of this could be used to deliver an additional 300 houses in Cringleford.
