We have been made aware that an event was held on The Willow Centre field last week, which included use of disposable BBQs alarmingly close to the trees.
Although we love to see parishioners using the open spaces around the parish for games and picnics, please do not bring disposable BBQs or any other source of fire or heat.
The ground has been completely destroyed where the BBQs were used and it is only luck that the trees, which are extremely dry at the moment, did not catch light.
