(Message from the UEA)
INVITATION
You may be aware that the UEA boardwalk, located by the UEA lake and running along the River Yare, has sadly been closed to the public since January 2024 due to degradation arising from increased usage.
We know that our local community and many local organisations and schools are longing for access to this much-loved nature trail to be restored.
Ahead of the design commissioning process, we are running two consultation sessions to hear from local organisations, community groups and schools about how the boardwalk could be restored and replaced in a way that makes the facility a more inclusive, welcoming and enjoyable space.
The design will be community-led, so these consultations are an excellent opportunity to make suggestions and share ideas.
We would be delighted if you could attend and voice suggestions at one of these stakeholder consultation sessions:
- Friday 9th May 9:30-11:30 [Venue: Bob Champion Building, Lecture Theatre, NNUH – free parking]
- Tuesday 13th May 18:00-20:00 [Venue: The Willow Centre, Round House Park – free parking]
Please contact me Justine Mann justine.mann@uea.ac.uk to confirm attendance or request further information.
